Transparency and trust are foundational to Citable ESG Orgs. This page explains how we verify organisations, authenticate reviews, and maintain the integrity of our directory. Our methodology is fully automated – designed to scale without human review bottlenecks while maintaining rigorous standards.
ESG Organisation Verification
When an organisation creates a profile on Citable ESG Orgs., our automated verification system performs the following checks:
- Domain verification – confirming the organisation controls the website domain they claim.
- Certification cross-referencing – validating claimed certifications against 27 recognised ESG verification platforms (B Corp, EcoVadis, CDP, GRI, ISO 14001, LEED, BREEAM, Fair Trade, SBTi, and others).
- Consistency analysis – checking that claimed services, sectors, and capabilities align with publicly available information.
- Ongoing monitoring – re-verifying credentials periodically to ensure continued accuracy.
Organisations that pass verification receive a Verified badge displayed on their profile.
Review Authentication
Reviews on Citable ESG Orgs. are subject to the following integrity measures:
- Reviewer identity verification through authenticated accounts.
- AI-powered analysis to detect fake, incentivised, or manipulated reviews.
- Review invitations sent by organisations to verified clients – ensuring reviews come from genuine business relationships.
